The Internet Pinball Serial Number Database or IPSND collects serial numbers of

I think the FR preceeding the 6100 designated it for it's destination of France. This machine also has the score reel windows modified for French use (the IPDB mentions this in a note). Nudging notes make argument that number is actually "06100". If you look at the 2 letters preceeding the "6100", you will notice several things, 1] they are a different font type, in this case, a bold font, and 2] the font is also taller than the 3/4" plywood edge that it is stamped on. My opinion is that for those 2 letters, you are looking at the upper 60% of the upper case letters "FR". Another piece of info, I have heard that it was not uncommon for Gottlieb to designate the last machines of a run for foreign (or Canadian export). This number (6100) sure fits that bill with a total "Now" production of 1125 units. So, in theory, there were only 25 "Now" machines made after this one. Another piece of info, the coin entry denominations are Francs.

1/19/2017 | King of Pinball | -1 | It looks like 06100 to me. Also, I have never seen an EM Gottlieb number starting with FR to designate a game going to France. |
